Bitget Introduces RWAs and Tokenized U.S. Equities to Kenyan Traders

Bitget is expanding investment opportunities in Kenya by launching tokenized stocks and real-world assets (RWAs) via its Onchain platform. This initiative enables Kenyan crypto users to access shares in high-profile U.S. companies, such as Apple, Tesla, and Amazon .

The launch is part of Bitget’s participation in the Global Markets Alliance initiated by Ondo Finance, a collaboration aimed at standardizing and promoting interoperability of tokenized securities. Through this membership, Bitget On-chain users in Kenya will now be able to invest in more than 100 tokenized assets, including U.S. equities, ETFs, and money market funds.

This move offers Kenyan investors key advantages: transactions in local currency (KES) eliminate forex complications; trading is possible 24/7; fractional ownership lowers investment barriers; and blockchain-based transparency enhances trust and accountability. Such benefits could significantly broaden access to global markets for African retail and institutional investors.

“Tokenization is the next frontier in finance, allowing everyday investors in Kenya to access Wall Street with ease,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “Our xStocks and Ondo integration marks a leap forward in giving Kenyans diversified, borderless asset exposure.”

To get started, Kenyan users must create or log into their Bitget account, complete the KYC verification, and explore the tokenized assets available on the Onchain platform. This user-first innovation signals a convergence between traditional finance and crypto infrastructure in Africa’s emerging digital finance environment.

Founded in 2018, Bitget serves more than 120 million users across over 150 countries. It offers a range of services, including its popular copy trading feature, multi-chain wallet, NFT marketplace, token swaps, and decentralized application (DApp) browsing. Bitget continues to expand its reach through strategic partnerships and infrastructure innovations.
